Renovation of a listed farmhouse
A number of interventions have been carried out on a nationally listed historic building complex in the Bommelerwaard—a T-shaped farmhouse dating from 1889 that comprises several sections, including the front house, the intermediate section, and the barn area (*Deel*). The clients—the new residents of this unique heritage property—are mindful of the fact that they are merely the temporary custodians of the monument. Great care has been taken to bring the farmhouse up to modern standards regarding sustainable energy and living comfort.
